The long section of open ground is being cleared for development, stretching from the 429 toll exit, along Sinclair Rd, through to the 13th Green of the Nicklaus Course.
At this point in time, we are unclear about what the site will accommodate, but we will update this blog post as soon as we learn more.

Some very welcome news that two of the resort pools are receiving some attention this month.
In a newsletter today, the HOA, operated by Aegis, announced that resurfacing of the Homestead and Carriage Pointe pools would take place during the quiet season at Reunion Resort.

Here’s a quick summary of the Nicklaus Course remodel at Reunion Resort.
The huge project is already well under way and thankfully, we now have a glimpse of the layouts of the two new holes, the clubhouse and the practice amenities.
As you probably saw in the post from June, there’s an unbelievable amount of dirt being moved to make way for the long awaited upgrade, to what is probably the most beautiful of Reunion’s 3 PGA courses.
We’ve marked up the aerial rendering to show some of the previous features, in relation to the new.
One thing you will notice are Read more…
Just a very early report that we understand that Reunion Resort could finally get an internet connection speed that’s suitable for its status as a premium resort.
We have no official information yet about bandwidth, download speeds or timing, but for now, it does look as though owners could be in the process of catching up with the rest of the nation regarding connections.
We did hear some very impressive estimates of 100 Mbit/s download speeds! That’s significantly better than the lame 5-8 Mbit/s that we currently get intermittently.
We will keep you updated as soon as we hear more.
Apparently, it takes a dedicated driving team a whole 44 hrs to reach Reunion from Seattle!
I’m often get asked how close Reunion is to the various landmarks, attractions, beaches and transportation areas in the area.
The good news, is that Reunion is without doubt the best resort for access to most areas of Central Florida, partly due to the proximity to Disney, just 5 miles away, but also due to being a very short drive away from two exists from the I-4.
In reality, Reunion is not only close to the Read more…
There’s nothing like a privately owned vacation home at Reunion Resort! Click on the image for prices and availability of this stunning 8 bedroom golf view mansion!
If you are looking for the very best luxury homes in Reunion Resort, chances are they will be privately owned and managed by one of the vastly experienced independent property managers. The growing choice of magnificent homes, with private pools, spas, golf views and in many cases, home theaters, games rooms, and even an occasional bowling alley! Despite the vast majority of homes on Reunion being managed by private property managers, the resort continues to restrict access to amenities, for private house guests. The result is often confusing for guests, and very much reflects badly upon the resort Read more…
As part of the preparation for the new Nicklaus course clubhouse and vacation homes, the 17th and 18th holes will make way for construction some time over the coming year. Right now, two new fairways are being hewn from the earth over on Reunion’s west side and I stopped by to see progress. The shots below were taken from round about the spot that kind of served as an unofficial parking lot for the Nicklaus course practice range, and show the vast scale of the earthwork that’s currently in progress by the developer. There’s not any dates or details on when and what will be built there, but a bunch of homes and a new clubhouse building would be a safe bet. If anyone has any further information, I’d be glad to feature it.
Over to the East of 429 there’s a lot of dirt making way for the Encore Club.
I’m expecting some aerial images real soon and I think the progress will look significant when they are posted online here.
From the roadside, things are looking busier than ever on the construction site as more homes come out of the ground, and very significantly, the clubhouse takes shape.
To my surprise, the third floor is already being added!
Encore this week, also released some amazing renderings as they work hard to keep buyers and future vacation rental guests informed of what they can expect around October/November of 2015 (timeline permitting!).
One of the most notable factors of the new amenities is that huge drop slide, which is not for the faint hearted.
The slides could become a prominent feature from the Interstate 4 route, adding a lot of ‘kerb appeal’ to the brand new resort.
There’s no better way to attract guests, than to show guests the amenities before you book!
Interesting piece in today’s ‘Out & About‘ Member’s eBlast by Reunion Resort.
There’s a call for more members with a $500 incentive for any current member that brings in a new member to the resort.

With such fabulous amenities (supported and funded continually by loyal private homeowners for many a year with little in return), it is very surprising that the resort is on a membership drive, especially while so many existing members feel let down by the resort.
It’s crystal clear that owners are fed up of paying almost $400 a month for so little access.
In the past, this blog has suggested numerous ideas to the resort management, (as have other members and reunion based businesses) for a better system that would bring new memberships, better access and much needed revenues to the resort.
Let’s hope things improve some day!
